It's been awhile since I've been on this site, but I'm happy to say that Ive been banded for 4 years and 2 months and have lost 90lbs and still losing about 2lbs a month!! Im so happy with the decision i made 4 years ago as it was truly life changing. It is for sure not the "easy" way out either as it is a daily conscious choice of foods we put in out bodies and physical activity we partake in. I have had plateaus over the past 4 years but somehow I start losing...

So frustrated, haven't lost any weight since June 2011... I'm a little over half way to goal, but still have a ways to go!! Anyone else have this problem and overcome it??
-
I'm at a standstill but it's my own fault, i have to get it into gear

Yep, change up your eating and exercise program - surprise your body. I would have to "ramp" it up from time to time to get it moving again. Try crossfit - if you're not on groupon get on it, its online and you can get exercise classes cheap - I always use it and change up my exercise mode from time to time. Change the times you eat and focus on clean protein - start every morning with a large glass of water with one lemon juice in it. Good luck!

I have the same, I believe changing things will help. I'm hoping, I lost 2 lbs finally last week.

Got another fill on 5/25/11 due to a plateau I have hit......My goal is to exercise, eat lots of protein, and lose 20lbs by 4th of July!!!

Every morning when I wake up "and sometimes in the middle of the night) my stomach is burning (like acid reflux) and growling like crazy! does this happen to anyone else?
-
Hi, when were you banded? I definitely had that in the beginning, the banding hell phase. but maybe you need an bit of an unfill if you are having acid reflux, that's a big sign of needing some taken out.
-
I was banded 7/30/2010...i kinda think it happens in the wee hours of the morning when my band is extra tight. I found that if i sleep a little elevated it helps...also ice water helps. my fill doctor said everything looks great with the band. just wish this burning would go away!! grr

I must motivate myself to exercise!!!!!!! Weightloss has slowed a bit so time to do something about it!!

Very true Ashley!! Im just so used to the old me that would eat out and be up 5 pounds the next day!! Its so hard to get out of thinking the way I did before and to allow myself to see my new body transforming. If it werent for the numbers on the scale moving down I would swear I looked the same as i did 51 pounds ago!!
-
Even if that did happen all you have to do is get back on track. I will be banded 2 years next month. It happens, we can put on a few pounds, but you just have to bounce right back and get back on track.

Enjoy your time with your honey . I am sure he appreciates your new body ...you need to enjoy it too!

I just got back from a trip, and was so excited that my hips no longer touch the arms on a plane!!! and the best part was that I had at least 6 inches of extra seatbelt!!! Victory is SWEET!!!

Isn't that the best feeling?! I was excited last week when my husband and I went to the movies and I didn't have to sit sideways to fit!! I was able to sit without my hips touching the arms of the seat!!
-
Thank you all!! and I agree jen going to the movies is far more comfortable than it used to be!!
-
WOW congrats I hope I will get there soon! I hate airplanes currently.
