Hi, I had a plication on the 15th, and I too still have a lot of cramping/gas pains. Sometimes it doesn't feel like gas, just feels like my stomach is cramping up repeatedly. I have noticed that those pains have been related to genuine hunger for me, so when I get them, I have a few drinks of a protien drink or some soup, and I am usually good for a few hours.. But as far as the gas goes, I have not tried anything yet. Let me know what works for you! -
I am at the OCC right now, had the plication yesterday morning, and I feel like death warmed over! I have extreme nausea and alot of pain.. Has anyone had this experience? If so, how long dis it last??

Hi, I am looking into a post weight loss tummy tuck, and maybe breast lift. Can anyone give me recommendations of TJ doctors? Also, I know that we don't discuss OCC prices on here, but could anyone give me an idea of what a ballpark price is in TJ for those types of procedures? Thanks!

My husband and I are flying down this Wednesday and going to spend the weekend relaxing together at the hotel, then Monday the 15th I am being banded!! So excited!! Any last minute advise from the pros??

Hi, getting banded in a few weeks!! I am soooooo excited!! I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what the post op diet really looks like? I am under the impression that the first week is clear liquids, but I'm not sure what the next two weeks of liquids look like? Creamy soups, yogurt, etc. Can anyone give me the run down? Thanks!!

Hi there Janice! I was born and raised in Sacramento!? i have heard of a lot of people coming to a "stand still" with their bands. How does that work exactly? Do you still feel restriction or is it that you just need a fill? Poor food choices? I'm not sure what a "stand still" includes? I want to make sure that when I get banded, I know what to look for so as to not ...

Ok, so I may just start like 20 topics?? Lol. I have been doing a lot of research over the last few weeks, and have run into several people who have been banded, only to turn around a few years down the road and get sleeved or bipassed. Can anyone give me insight as to how/why this happens? Also, is band slippage/erosion ONLY caused by the patient? It would seem that it could be caused by several things, including improper installation?

So, I am coming down for my band on Nov. 15th, and I am just curious if anyone can give me an idea of what to expect with my stay at the OCC? I am under the impression that I have my surgery Monday, and then stay over night there on Monday night and Tuesday night, and then leave Wednesday? While you are there, do they give you liquid diet post op, or is there a fasting period? Also, do they give you pain medicine? Any and all information or little tid bits that anyone could offer would be awesome. I am one of those people who like to be REALLY prepared for stuff like this.. Thanks!

Ok, so I have just found out that OCC sends you home with an empty band, so my question is, do you feel any restriction at all? Is it individual based? What were others' experience?
