Hello I am new here. I am starting my pre-op diet tomorrow for surgery on Dec 21. I am responding to the possible flipped port. I have crohn's disease and I get a remicade infusion. I recently got a port in my right chest area. I began having pain and went back to the doctor only to find via x-ray that my port had flipped over onto its back. So, they manuevered the port with their hand and put an iv in the port to stablize it. I wore an iv for 5 weeks covered by bandages on my chest. So, Friday was the first time since they fixed the port I received my infusion, and it worked well. So, good chances are that they will be able to find and adjust the port and pin it until the tissues adhere to the port, thus securing it. May God Bless you on your journey to recovery.
