  1. Hi Stacy a little gassy and hungry. I will try a little melted cheese maybe some sour cream. Lost 5 since the surgery.
  2. The experience from start to finish was as pleasant as a surgery could be. Since I am in the medical profession, I was scrutinizing the whole experience and I feel that it was as good if not superior to the US in terms of modern equipment, cleanliness, etc.
  3. Hello everyone It is now 8 days post-op and hunger is starting to set in. Juices are just not doing it. Does anyone else have any reccomendations as to what to eat? cream soups are a little liquidy. Hpw about jello and chocalate pudding? Something salty? Is sour cream OK? Please advise
  4. Hi Stacy this is Mitch I had the surgery the same day as you I was in the room next to you. I purchased the centrum liquid it is good. How are you feeling?
  5. Day 1 post op. Feel pretty good besides a little gas pain. Left a day early doing good on the liquids .
  6. Good evening everyone. Just had surgery approximately 4 hours ago. Felt a little pain but now it is just slight discomfort. Started walking. I am so impressed with not only the facility, but the staff as well. Dr. Ortiz had a little chat this morning, laughing and joking. He is a special person. All in all this was as pleasant experience as one could have for a surgical experience. Keep you up to date Mitch
  7. they inject into the port which is brought up right below the surface of the skin. Probably hurts as much as a tb test. Not to worry just think of the new you and how much healthier and better you will feel
  8. Thanks for the message It reduces the anxiety level just a bit
  9. Do the best that you can. If we could control our weight we wouldn't need the surgery. So I'll see you there. Think positive
  10. Hi March 16th for me 4 days and counting. Anybody else for that day
  11. There is usually a endotracheal tube that is placed in your throat to access your airway to deliver anesthesia. I spoke with Dr.Ortiz and he told me that they are using a laryngeal mask now. It is easier and is used for short cases, The lap band has now become a short case(time under anesthesia). It still is a small tube but comes out immediately as you become responsive.
  12. They do not keep a tube in your throat they use what is called a laryngeal mask. I will be there on the 15th as well in the AM don't be nervous if you wahnt you may e-mail me at any time
  13. i am a PA and co- owner in a medical corporation. Will e-mail you from TJ
