  1. Hi everyone! I found this forum searching on google. I've kind of been doing this on my own, and dont really know anyone else whose had the band or i can relate to. I feel like my wightloss is slow, but i was hoping to hear how others are doing. I guess i just looking for support and friends who actaully can understand what I am going through. It hard enough being a fulltime college student and a woman, never mind this whole other huge part of my life i cant realy share with anyone. So hows is everyones life with the bad? anyone near Boston? With love - Amber
  2. I was banded in July of 06 and since ive lost 46 pounds, so it been a steady amd good. I was hoping to have lost more by now but my physician said it could tak up to 18 mnths to reach my goal. I'm only 5'3 so i really want to get down to 135! Just another 94 pounds to go lol! if i keep at the same steady reate hopefully reach my goal by next summer! bikini hear i come! lol Anyone have a similar wightloss? I dont know anyone else with the band, and i just joined the forum. I'm in boston MA, anyone neat me ?
  3. I had my lap ban in July of 2006. I have recently reached a plateau myself and i understand how fustrating it is. I wighed in at 275 the day of surgery and ive been stuck at 229 for two weeks! I got a job at Curves the womans gym so i wouldnt have an excuse not to work out. My advice it to stay postive and just think of what you have gained by losing the twenty pounds. I'm begining to realize that the numbers arent always the most important. How your feeling, how your clothes fit, feeling lighter and also being proud that you've accomplished something great! Losing wieght expicially after having wightloss surgery is a journey both physically and emotionally, dont forget to take care of the emotional part along the way. With love- Amber
