Hey Tim, Good luck with your surgery. Yes you are young but at least you are dealing with your problem now and not having to live with years of dissappointment, depression, health issues and so forth, like I faced, and many others, with over many years. Well ladies, this is our week. Our banding will be the first day to the rest of our new lives. I will thinking of each of you and pray that each of your bandings will be great. I am coming from Tulsa too. Yeppeee, I am so glad to hear someone from Tulsa is going. I will be coming in on the 25th, and you will be coming back to the hotel. We need to meet. In fact everyone that is going to be around that week, we need to meet. Sounds like one of us will be going in as the other comes out, and so forth. I don't know where the July surgeries thread went for Dr Ortiz- I can't find it? I am on my preop and getting real nervous. How are others doing? Want to talk to someone who knows I feel?

I am getting banded on July 26th. Will I get any records to take back to my doc in the states?

I am getting banded on July 26th by Dr. Ortiz, and I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. I am not nervous about the procedure, but about the afterwards. I am afraid I won't loss weight because I will still want to shove something in my mouth.I quit smoking in May and I am having problems with the hand to mouth fixation. I eat now and I am not hungry when I do eat. What is going to happen after the band? My jaws are so tired from chewing gum. Any suggestions? Candy

I'm so glad you posted today. I am scheduled for my band on 7/26 and I am really getting nervous. I am wondering if I am doing the right thing, can I handle it, and if I will lose weight. My husband said "I hope this works, it sure it costing me a lot if it doesn't" and that made me worry. I feel like if this doesn't work, I don't know what will. Thanks for posting, Candy
