  1. Are you able to keep water down? You don't want to get dehydrated. I think it's normal for most people to feel a little off after surgery, especially on your stomach. Just make sure you're getting enough fluids and if you're worried, call or email the OCC they'll get right back to you. Take care, Darlene
  2. I did the exact same thing, but the chicken wasn't dry, I was shoveling it in too fast! I hung over the sink with my mouth watering and had such pain in my chest and collar bone area.... let's put it this way, it hasn't happened since! I didn't actually get sick, but my stomach hurt for 2 days. I drank liquids the rest of that day and half of the next. I was worried that I had hurt my band, but all seems well. I go for my first fill in less than 2 weeks and I sure won't be shoveling anything then! We'll learn, huh?! Take care!! Darlene
  3. Michelle, You look great!! Thank you so much for posting your 36hrs in TJ..... the post wasn't too long! I had thought about getting my teeth whitened, but I have fillings in my front teeth and will probably have to have them refilled to match. [Maybe I'll put up a thread to see if anyone else had to do that....] ANYWAYS.... you look awesome and keep up the good work and also keep us posted!
  4. Good question, hopefully someone will know?? Maybe Mamamichelle???
  5. Reneej, Sounds like you got an awesome fill... fingers crossed for good restriction!! Thanks for posting your story, I go for my first fill on the 29th and am a little nervous. I know that I'm in great hands though!
  6. Tracey, I'm so sorry you had to lose your band.... what happened?? How long did you have your band? I hope you will tell your story so that if something similar happens to one of us, we'll know what it feels like. Again, I'm really sorry and wish you all the best, Darlene P.S. Do you plan on getting banded again in the future?
  7. Please make sure you call Dr. O TODAY!! Don't let yourself get dehydrated!! Keep us updated, and I'm so sorry you feel so bad. Darlene

  10. Good one Clynn, ... I'd say that would be the way to go, just order some soup and there may not be any questions. Best wishes, Darlene
  11. A sigh, huh?? I'll have to pay mind to that! I go for my first fill in 2 weeks and when I eat after that, I'll wait for the sigh. Thank you!! Have a great [sigh] weekend!! Darlene
  12. I hope you find the procedure that's right for you. I chose Lapband because it is less invasive than other weight loss surgeries. I didn't want to cut or reroute my innerd's. Good luck and best wishes, Darlene
  13. Good luck with your 2nd fill..... hopefully this will be your sweet spot! Fingers crossed! =D> Have a great time! Can't wait to see the photo's. Darlene
  14. Glad to hear that you're doing so well!! I found that moving and sipping were the best way to stop the pains. Enjoy the rest of your stay! Dr. O and Dr. M are both real hotties!!! :lb9:

  17. I was banded on 3-25 and I was told no tub for 2 weeks. I remember that because I also LOVE to soak in the tub! I was told no swimming for 3 weeks so that your stomach can heal. Best wishes, Darlene
  18. My Hubby and our 11yr old are going to the OCC on the 29th for my first fill and I was told to bring her birth certificate for her ID. Hubby and I will have our license and BC for us [we don't have passports.] My daughter's taking a gameboy and word finds to keep her busy, I took a book to read to pass the time while waiting in the airport, for tests and what not. They'll have a good time, we're going shopping on Revolution Ave. after my fill. ENJOY!! > Darlene
  19. Good luck with your surgery Anita [not that you'll need it! ] Isn't the Lucerna a beautiful hotel??!! The OCC is the cleanest medical clinic I've ever seen! Relax and enjoy your trip [sounds like you already are! ] Keep us updated!! Darlene
  20. No weird stuff in mine! I can feel my port in my large scar but that's it. My scars look like small red scratches. If you got your surgery at the OCC, I'd give them a call.
  21. My port is my larger scar on the mid- left side of my stomach. I can feel it under my skin, it's like the size of 1\2 an egg. I get my first fill on the 29th so I'll get to see it! { My far left scar is little too.}
  22. There are alot of people who come to this forum for support and frienship that aren't banded by Dr. O. You are always welcome here! > Good luck with your banding and do keep in touch and updated!! Best wishes, Darlene =D>
  23. Hello Alana, It takes a little while to get back to 100%, but it comes!!! So glad to hear that you're feeling better! It is true though, the more you move the better you feel. I sipped water constantly while I was recouping, took a bottle with me wherever I went. Keep up the good work and fingers crossed for the job!!! Best wishes, Darlene >
  24. Best wishes and take care!! You'll be in awesome hands!! >
