Canada Julie
I am just reading through posts and noticing that not all people that post had sugery with Drs. Ortiz and Martinez and they seem to be getting different instructions from their doctors than what we have been given. I think this is becoming very confusing and I was hoping that this forum would be just for OCC patients. I was particularly put out by the post about handbags. Is it possible to get control over the people who are joining and what they are posting. I had surgery Nov 6 and am still in a lot of pain, I think mostly from the large hernia repair they did. I was hoping to come here and find some help, but the first post I saw was about going to some website to buy handbags. I don't need handbags, I need support and encouragement. Clynn
Hmmm, interesting idea. Personally, I don't mind reading other people's experiences with other doctors or giving them a little support. As far as the handbag posts go, that is spam and something I certainly would not mind having to jump through a few extra hoops to get rid of. Especially since some of the ones I've reported on have been pretty graphic. I'm not really sure how you'd keep people from making an account on here without creating alot of administrative overhead though. For now, ignore it, report it, just DON'T CLICK ON THE LINKS EVER EVER EVER. Have I put enough emphasis on that? Seriously, that's how bad stuff gets on your computer . I fix stuff like that for a living so if anyone has clicked on a bad link and thinks they picked up something nasty, feel free to drop me a line. Julie Handbags are not so important to me either. I do, however, like to see postings from patients regardless of what surgeon they used. I would estimate, however, that 90-95% of the postings here are from OCC patients.
chrissysdolphin
You should know that even the Occ people get different info from the doctors here. If you only ask one person for information you are only going to get one point of view. There are doctors in other states that do the fills for us because we can't all get back to T.J. to get fills. The report page is for the spam and alot of us have used it. It is really simple to do.
