ValleyGirl
I have heard that restriction can come and go, but this is nuts. I was so tight after my third fill, I could hardly drink liquids the first few days and now I have no restriction. I've had restrtiction so I know what it feels like and mine is GONE. I'm supposed to have 3 cc's in a 4 cc band but I feel like I did before my first fill....bandster hell again. I really can't afford to go for a fill every three weeks!!! Would they be able to spot a leak with fluoro? Sabrina:)
Will T
not me - no leakage here. I know that immediate restriction may be caused by intermediate swelling that subsides after a brief time (a couple of days).
nothereanymore
I know one person with a leak - if you search the forum you'll find the post about it. Take care and I'm heading off to Brunch at the club!! (I'm saving all my room for the desert table)

My last fill (then unfill) left me swollen for nearly 3 weeks, then all of a sudden one day, viola (poof) gone, I was able to eat fish and some solid proteins again. give it a few days and if necessary, do the pouch test to check...that usually tightens things right up
nursemom
At my last fill I went from 2cc to 1.6cc in the band. Dr. Acosta told me that air bubbles will get caught in the tubing and this can cause the difference in what we think is in there. Not sure if this qualifies as a "leak". I do know that we are all scared that we are loosing fluid. I agree with Will that the restriction at first is due to swelling. AND (as everyone has said) my band's restriction changes from day to day. Some days I can't eat until the afternoon. Fickle Fickle thing..... My band is like a spoiled best friend.... You love it, but some days it really aggrivates you!
vangirl
Each time I went to the OCC for my fill (my 2nd and 3rd), Dr. So took out whatever fill that was in there, to check how much is there from the last fill. I think that's the test to see if there's a leak. If nearly all the fill is gone, then there is probably a leak. If it's just a little that is gone, then it might be due to air bubbles or some of the saline being injected out into the scar tissue instead of into the band. But best check with one of the doctors there. They are really great about giving information/advice. -vangirl
