I havent lost any. I take bariatric advantage mixed berry vitamins. They are made especially for lapband paitients. I also eat about 80-90 grams of protein a day. Haven't had any issues. I have lost about 47 lbs. :)

I started taking Biotin about 3 months prior to banding and have taken it ever since. I've been banded for over a year now and lost over 40lbs with no hair loss. I read that alot of people do lose alot of hair after banding. Talk to your Doc to see what would be the best thing for you to do. I highly recommend the Biotin.

Best wishes, Darlene

You will see hair loss more in people who have gastric bypass because it results in malabsorbtion. With the lapband you will still absorb food.....though I have heard of some losing hair. I haven't lost any.

As far as I know (and I am NOT a doctor!) but as long as you get enough protein in you shouldn't loose any hair. Most people who loose their hair are having problems with malnutrition.

My hair is pretty thin because I had a surgery to remove an ovary last year and had a lot of hair loss. I was told it is a side effect of the anesthesia. So if I have the Lap-Band surgery I am concerned about losing even more hair!! :(( ...........

Oh well I guess that is why God allowed man to invent hair extensions lol

Thank you all for responding.
