Silverstarz76
I don't know what to do. I have had 2 fills now since surgery. Went to Mexico for my first fill and had 2cc put in. Found a local nurse that does fills becasue I can not afford to go back to Mexico. She gave me a fill but I had no restriction.. Went back and she put in more and I was good for a couple hours and then I tightened so fast I could barely talk. Was in alot of pain. So she took some out, I don't feel like I have restriction as I am always hungry but when I do eat alot of things will get stuck. So I eat slippery foods so I don't have to go thru the pain. I know I am doing something wrong I just feel so lost and confused. She I have gone back to Mexico? Am I just not eating the right stuff or amounts? Please tell me I am not alone and i just need to give this more time.. Should I go back on liquids to try and kickstart everything again? I know I will never get the after turke dinner full feeling, but I want to stop thinking of food. Do I go and try and get another .2cc, see if that makes a difference? I am scared then I will be too tight. What does restriction feel like for you? Do you feel it when you are not even eating? I feel myself getting depressed but I know I need to think positive and get back on track.
JazzyJude
HI Sweetheart ~ first thing, stop stressing over it, which can make you feel that much more tighter and frustrated and you don't need that. You are doing amazing with your weight loss thus far. Also it's ok to plateau if you are. I am not a medical adviser, but if I was in your shoes and have concerns and questions popping uncertainly, I would call OCC and talk it over with them to ease myself. Don't take any risk of either not eating right or not eating period...not good either way. Still, if I was in your situation, I would do the 5 day pouch test. It may not be the "number" of fills you have, but how you are working your fills. I am on day 3 right now and it is really helping me thus far to see how my band is really working with me. Click on this site 5 Day Pouch Test, and see if this would help you. It's simple and it's only 5 days. Whatever you decide to do, get your mindset ready and be positive as you are trying to do and stay focus of what you should be doing. DON'T focus too hard on the "food". Keep busy elsewhere, such as exercising, visiting friends, walk outside, doing crafts, watch a new movie at the theatre...things like that. It's not all about the food... Ya gotta live your life too...Good Luck (hugs!!)...Jazzy!!
MyNewLife
Hi! Congrats on the 60 lbs lost, that is WONDERFUL! I honestly can say that I have always "thought' I was eating the right amount of caloriess and getting in the right amounts of protein. I was WRONG! I should have taken the advise that I was given a while back but I did not. I thought it would take to much of my time. Monday before last I started a Food Journal where I log my calories and proteins. For the past two weeks I will get anywhere between 1100 and 1200 calories a day, around 90 grams of protein and 60 oz of water in each day. I also am walking 3 miles every other day. Last week I lost 4 lbs and this week, since Monday morning, I have lost another 2 lbs.!!! That is 6 lbs in a week a half! I eat REALLY high PROTEIN foods and count every little thing that goes in my mouth. My snacks are HIGH PROTEIN snacks and I do not eat after 7. I do agree with Jazzy, stress is the devil. ...It is not good at all for your body! You have done so great already, I would really recommend you try this for at least one week and see how it works for you..... Good Luck!
