cleo6666
The lines in Charlotte today were OUT THE DOOR! Don't think this will be a quick in and out meal :-)
Smiley
Yep, my mom and I went to a KFC tonight and after waiting for 10 minutes, we left as it was going to be at least another 30 to 45 minutes before we got to the counter. The good news is that the coupon is valid for another week or so, except Mother's Day.

JazzyJude
I was able to print a toal of (4) coupons and I bought the chicken for tomorrow's meal...as I am on Day 4 on the 5-Day Pouch diet...can't wait to eat it as it smells sooooo good! Just remember, it's one coupon per person and the coupon is good until May 19, but not on Mother's Day this coming Sunday!
SamanthaW
I printed off one for me and one for my husband! We are going to go on Monday for dinner! I am such a sucker for their mashed potatoes and their biscuts, although I am pretty sure I can't get the biscut down anymore! I guess that is a good thing! Clynn
Some KFC's aren't accepting them (boo on them). El Pollo Loco has stated that they will honor the coupons even on Mother's Day. I know my mom will be thrilled by me taking her out for fast food on Sunday.
Smiley
We went tonight and were told that starting at 10:30 tomorrow morning, each store that has been honoring them will only honor the first 100 customers that come thru with a coupon. After that, they will no longer be honoring the coupons. This decision was made by the president of KFC today because they had a lot more response than they thought they would. Hello - free food at a well know fast food establishment promoted on one of the most watched television programs in the country, why wouldn't they expect a big response. Hello - free food at a well know fast food establishment promoted on one of the most watched television programs in the country, why wouldn't they expect a big response. GEEZ, WHAT DID THEY EXPECT? LOL Rain Check Policy from KFC We are so sorry, but due to the overwhelming response to our FREE Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal coupon, we can no longer redeem the free coupon at this time. But we will honor our commitment to giving you a free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal. Please visit a participating KFC restaurant for a rain check form. Complete the form, attach your original coupon, and give it to the KFC restaurant manager or postmark per the form's instructions, by May 19, 2009, and we'll send you a rain check for your free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal at a later date, plus a free Pepsi with our compliments. Your participating KFC restaurant will provide you with the form you need. Please note that the redemption periods of the rain checks will vary. All other terms and conditions of the original free Kentucky Grilled Chicken coupon will apply. jhawkchick75
No kidding...what the heck did they expect!!!??? Too funny. That is like here in KC - for a while Krispy Kreme had a promotion where if the Royals scored 12 or more hits you got a dozen donuts free. We tried to go get them one night and the line was down the street, so we gave up. You say free food folks are gonna show up!

Yep, Panera did the same thing as Krispy Kreme a few seasons ago, only they gave away bagels. Then, low and behold a few games in they stopped honoring the coupons because they were giving away too many. Hmmm - maybe their stopping the promotion is what caused the Royals to start going downhill during those seasons. I don't know if there are any promotions this year or not, but if so, hopefully they will keep them going because at this point the Royals are doing pretty well. Don't want to be too complimentary and jinx things.

I was talking to a gal about the whole pulling the offer topic. (She is an co-manager of KFC.) Both my husband and I got a chuckle out of what she said. It was such a shock to KFC that over 50% of there buisness was people redeming the coupons, and that pulling the campaign had little to do with Oprah being involved. First let me point out that we are in a recession, it's a great "meal" offer and Oprah does have something to do with the success of the stampede. Stating these facts seem obvious to me, however after the conversation we had with this employee I became aware that maybe these facts are not so obvious to the general public?! As my husband and I were a safe distance away, we both laughed.......maybe she was not a big fan of Oprah! LOL
