stormy
I am really confused. I am not sure what to eat to keep my stomach from hurting. I wonder if it is the mocha I have in the morning. She told me I could have mocha with soy milk and that is what I do but then about 1/2 hour afterwards my stomach hurts. Kind of an empty feeling. So I eat something like a banana, then it hurts worse. I finally broke down today and had a pop tart, it was the only thing in the machine at work and it feels better but this is crazy. What should I eat? Maybe I should try oatmeal. What do you guys eat to make sure your stomach dont hurt. Do I always need to keep it full? I guess I am not understanding this pain. Anyone have any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas? I don't know what to say about your stomach hurting when empty. Mine only hurts if I eat too much. It has never hurt when empty and I'm very very rarely hungry. I do love oatmeal though, and find it very satisfying! Sorry I can't be more help. Sabrina:)
BrandNewDawn
Stormy, I like oatmeal too. And, you can thin it to an almost liquid consistency if your fill is a little tight. You can do the same with those wheat cereals (Cream of Wheat, Malt-O-Meal) and Instant Grits (my husband is from Georgia). I sometimes eat protein bars. You can take very small bites and chew them well. Like Sabrina, my stomach does not hurt when empty and I have never had an appetite in the morning, even pre-band so eating breakfast is a challenge for me. I am just not hungry and I just do not want to eat but it is important to get some food so I have a latte usually and food a few hours later (or at lunch). As for keeping our stomachs full, I thougt we were supposed to only eat three meals a day without snacking and be able to go 3 or 4 hours without getting hungry. Now, I do eat snacks and I have most of my trouble with hunger in the evenings. Not very helpful with your stomach pain, sorry! Dawn
jhawkchick75
I know exactly what you are talking about. I get this burning, hungry feeling when I'm hungry. You said exactly what I was going to say - oatmeal! It fills me up and keeps me full for a long time. We have a water cooler at work that puts out hot water as well and so I keep oatmeal packets at work and they do wonders. I also keep cottage cheese at work and cheese as well. Just make sure if you are hungry to EAT! Good luck!
