LisaLaw Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 I have heard that being too tight can enlarge your pouch (swelling, etc) and also that PB'ing too hard (and frequently) can do it as well. Has anyone been through this? What are the signs? Symptoms? Thanks!
nicolek Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 Hi Yep I did this in January after being too tight for so long. I was hardly eating anything but keeping my fluids up, protein shales , soups etc. Dr Acousta told me if you are TOO tight even fluids can stretch your pouch. I had pain whenever I ate NOT the same pain as stuck. I'm now too tight again and off to get an unfill tomorrow.

I want to get a check-up soon- just waiting for teh swine flu stuff to pass so I can convince someone to go woth me. Sabrina:)

I could feel it was at the same spot when I ate or drank anything. Hope that helps. I fly to OCC tomorrow for a few hours so I'm not too concerned about catching anything. One good thing the flight was $200 cheaper than normal.LOL

jhawkchick75 Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 Can you stretch your pouch when you are not too tight? I feel like I can eat too much sometimes and I always have a fear of that. I try to use portion control when I can, but dang that is hard. I am getting a small fill in a couple weeks, but my restriction is hit and miss and I don't want to be too tight. But a small one will be good. It's funny I freak that i'm eating too much but really when you look at it i'm not eating nearly as much as I used to. But I hear people say no more than a cup of food at a time and I know darn good and well sometimes i'm eating more than that. Especially at dinner. Thanks!
