I think I'm doing Good

OK So I think I’m doing good. But Since I left the Clinic & I mean since I got in the Van to be driven back to the hotel, I started with a hiccup. But it’s like one hiccup, And it has happened made 6 times since May 20th, I have adjusted my sips, cause I did catch myself a few time with a bit too much in my mouth..... And so I would think it would stop - But it hasn't - Cause It just happened as I am typing

However I am feeling a slight tightness every now & then, Kind of like a rubber band being stretched and then released.... BUT I have NOT eaten solid foods and still have some gas... I am feeling it right now & haven’t drank anything in like 8 hours, since I just woke up? Maybe I should call OCC

So am I doing good? and I think this is just part of the corse.. Or Is it not?

I have lost 10 pounds and Love the idea of taking off the weight

All thoughts are welcome.....

Hi

Its the gas. It just takes time.

I'm over a year out and I still get the hiccups alot.

Oh Thanks, It so feels like gas, I can feel it in my ribs too.... I did have a small hiatal hernia which Dr. O repaired when he went in, So I have a little more inflamation then normal too.

Ok Thanks again

Lena

I actually wrote a post a few weeks ago about feeling gassy all the time. It's been almost 4 months since I was banded and I still feel a lot of gas, and I'm not sure if it's from the food I eat or what. sometimes it goes up to my back and shoulders, or to the sides of my abdomen. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it when I go in this month.

As far as the hiccups, I get them when I drink or eat too quickly. but if you're getting just one now and then, then it's probably from the gas. Hey I guess if we're losing weight, we can handle these little quirks.

I too just got my lapband on 5/19/09

One thing I am having is a sharp pain in my left shoulder. When I asked they said it was because of the gases they use o expand our chest cavity so they have room to work. This is totally normal and it should last 3-5 days. mine has nearly gone unless I move wrong. I found that wearing a girdle to keep things from bouncing around too much has REALLY helped with these kind of pains. Sleeping sitting proped up helps alot too.

It has been 5 days and I am 8 pounds down from my surgery date. Tuesday in my 1 week then I wil be weighing in weekly from there.

It has been worth every second.

Hey - it really went well- I do still have this gas & this slight tighten, But I called the Doc Yesterday & they got back to me in less then 15 minutes!!! And then I got another phone call later that night to check up on me again!!! So that's a relief to know too. I tell you I'm down to 185 pounds already! OMG! That's 11 pounds in less then 2 weeks - I don't feel hungry at all(YET)

But OCC was great! Nothing to fear AT ALL! & clean!!!!!!

Hugs! I'm so pleased you are having such a fab loss. I feel pressure too...in the area on my left side around my rib cage. It felt like an elephant stepped on me just after the surgery, this isn't nearly as bad.

I try to remember to take princess sips by using expresso mugs.

It's wonderful you don't feel hungry. I've had some mental hunger issues, but all in all, I'm pretty satisfied.

It's good to know the OCC got back to you so quickly.

Hey Robb's

I was impressed with their speedy response! =D>

I had a very bad night with Gas pains and going to the bathroom. The pain was so bad I just may have fainted???? All I know was I called for my son and knowing I was going down, which I did - I fell off the bowl and my son came running and picked me up,

This

has happened to me a few times BUT long time ago, Also when I had bad gas pains so I wasn't too worried! I don't think I went Unconscious,

It's like I was in so much pain that My body shuts down so I don't feel it.
