Checked into Marriott, waiting surgery tomorrow

Recommended Posts

I've been reading this forum ever since deciding to do the surgery, earlier this month. Feel like I found the perfect place to do this, and it was serendipitous. Drove down from LA and am checked in just waiting for the big day in the morning. This site has been so great with information, from packing, traveling, what to stock up on to have at home when I return and just plain settling nerves.

Decided not to tell anyone but my niece and my best friend who lives in NYC, so no one local. Felt like I was sneaking across the border to do something illicit - added to the excitement.

Can't wait for tomorrow, to just have it over and be "banded".

Thanks for all your help.

I had My Band on the 21st! I went home that night! I mean home to Santa Barbara! I feel great! Post op day 1-5 was a drag I had the Mental hunger BIG TIME! but i lost 10lbs already! I wish I would have connected with other Banders but my Hunny had to get back to work. I felt I would be ok and I was! How are you doing?

I'm doing okay. My OCC paper work said I could start milks as early as day 4 and creamy soups as early as day 6. I haven't "yet" but mentally I'm getting close.

I keep my beverages in expresso mugs and just keep telling myself "Princess Sips". I've been able to sleep on my right side 2 days ago and my left side last night.

I'm feeling better and better. I think the hardest stretch will be when I have introduced myself to milk and creamy soups and there is nothing else to introduce into the program until the 21 days are over.

Congratulations to you! I hope to be in your shoes within the next nine months- please keep us updated on your progress. PS... some of us are interested in number crunching for this surgery, so anything you want to share about your costs and experiences is much appreciated.
