Christy26
Ok I need some help Let me start by saying I do have a fill scheduled June 6th - my fill center only does fills every other Saturday so that was the soonest I could get in. I have been at the same exact weight, down to the decimal point, for 2 weeks. (219.8) I workout 5 days per week, 2 of those days are with my personal trainer. I burn 400-800 calories every day depending on what I am doing. I am eating 1200-1600 calories per day and drinking 160-210 oz of water per day. I really don't get it why I am stuck... I did just start my period today so last week was pms and the week before that I was on vacation and traveling... but honestly the numbers don't make sense, I should be dropping weight. Any ideas on how I can get the scale moving again before my fill? I am trying to fit into my bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding June 27th so I cannot afford to go 2 more weeks without losing weight before my fill. Thanks for any help! tootsie_lou
Hey Christy! I just had my third fill and the scale has (thankfully) started moving again. I don't have as much in my band as some, but yeah, everybody is different. Here is a really good post from Lisa from another thread called "Plateau". She talks about mixing it up a little bit, changing your biggest meal or workout to another time of day to confuse your body a little bit. http://www.lapbandforum.com/index.php?s=&a...ost&p=70450 Good luck--you can do it!! jhawkchick75
It probably means that you are unfortunately in a plateau. Many times when we loose weight quickly our body needs some time to catch up. Once you get that next fill it might kick start you a bit, but unfortunately you might just need to wait this one out. Just keep doing what you are doing and it will kick back in!
nursemom
Christy, I was plateaued like you for a while and adding protein made a HUGE difference. I wasn't as detailed as you are (like knowing how many calories per day etc) BUT, I could tell I wasn't getting enough protein. So I went to GNC and got a protein shake and have lost another 10 lbs since doing this. So, for what it's worth..... GOOD LUCK!
arianna
It sounds like you're working out quite a bit. Are you losing inches? because a lot of times when you work out, you're building muscle, which weighs more than fat. You might be building muscle (which is a great great thing because you'll be burning fat when you're just sitting- How awesome is that?). so I wouldn't focus on the numbers on the scale so much. continue doing what you're doing and it'll come off. but like I said check your inches... Christy26
Thanks everyone... I appreciate the advice. I think I am honestly just still eating too much. if I have a great workout (like today) I seem to think I can eat tons throughout the day and I shouldnt think that. I wear a heart rate monitor that tells me how many calories I burn at the gym so if I burn 800+ I seem to grab a cookie at work or a bag of chips. I am falling into bad habits, I watch the calories but I need to watch the quality of the food I am eating. Thanks, I will let you know how the next two weeks go before my fill. Lindsay
It's probably time to change up those workouts. What are you doing in terms of cardio? And diet. what are you ratios looking like?
