ValleyGirl
I've heard many stories of people with bands getting the flu and being really sick but not able to throw up. I know it's not good to throw up with a band but when you are so sick to your stomach, it would be nice to get it out and get some relief. I can't blame the flu, but this happened to me last night. I went on a boat crusie for my high school reunion and between the cocktails (I rarely drink), being on the water, being up 24-hours straight and the worry that went along with putting this event on by myself, I was in bed with head spins at 2am, praying for a little relief. I'm certain I wasn't vomitting because of the band being there. Before the band I would throw up VERY easily. I had all the feelings that go along with getting sick but just couldn't get sick...I just kept gagging. I know, gross. I don't plan to drink again any time soon. It's not good for you banded or not and it's just not something I enjoy anyways so I'm done. Sabrina:)
Christy26
I wondered about this too. I got sick to my stomach about a month ago, but it had been hours since i had eaten so the food had already went through the band and I had the feelings of needing to throw up but when I tried, nothing came up but spit and it was painful... then i started thinking, can food come back up through the band without damaging it? I have no idea
