Littleroo27
That's a hard one - and one that I have problems with too!!! Honestly, the best suggestion is to just keep it out of the house. If it's not there you can't eat it. I know that sounds dumb, but I've greatly reduced my overall intake of food recently just by not buying the things that I binge on, like soy cheese sandwiches (yeah, I can hear you gagging from here) and sliced breads. If I don't want it that much, I likely won't work to prepare it and, thus, eat less. Clynn
Dove makes some excellent sugar-free dark chocolates. If you can limit your intake to one or two a night you won't be doing near as much damage.

Littleroo27
Also important to remember that both sugar and "fake" sugar cause cravings. If you're looking to limit intake, sugar free is not always better. "Fake" sugar can cause digestive distress as well as stronger cravings for more sugar / more food then the real thing. Some of the sugar free chocolate is loaded with carbs!! Be careful.
MimIN
I too had a problem with over endulgence in chocolate. I made the mistake of "trying" a piece around halloween, found it went down no problem and then could not resist eating more. Then I had a fill and everything changed. I'm seldome hungry anymore but when I am or I get a craving I eat a sf/ff fudgcicle or I will drink an EAS carb control chocolate fudge shake - seems to satisfy the cravings. Once I started working out it slowed down some and I'm more comfortable with the rate of loss now where before I thought there was something wrong with me! lol. biggin
You could always try putting Ovaltine in skim or 2% milk, I do and it hasn't stopped my weight loss at all, plus it has alot of vitamins.
GregNE
Some of the sugar free chocolate is loaded with carbs!! Be careful. Adkins has a line of protein bars, most with 1-3 net gms of carbs. Flavors include chocolate chip crisp, chocolate coconut bars, peanut butter, etc. They can be purchased at supercenters and large grocery stores. Wal-mart sells them in the pharmacy area (next to Slim-Fast shakes). Be careful though, as many other brands of protein bars are loaded with carbs. Check those labels!
