christyw328
I am getting banded on July 7th and was told by others that I will not be ale to lift anything over 5 lbs for a week or two. I wasnt told this by the doctor, so i was wanting to get some opinion. Reason being I have a 6 month old and it will be very difficult to refrain from picking up it and also I need to know so I can restructor my life temporary with some help from family if need be. Overall I am so excited and cant wait
canadamama
I had no problems lifting my 1 year old and 2 year old the day after surgery, you just have to be careful. I would just take it very easy. I think I was told nothing over 30 lbs. which was perfect as both my boys are 26 pounds. Anyways, I am 2 weeks post op and have had no problems carrying them at all. Congrats on the surgery, and good luck with your new life!

Overall I am so excited and cant wait I was told by the OCC staff, nothing over 25 lbs. My son was just over 20 lbs. I had no trouble lifting him and went back to "normal momma duty" upon my return from the OCC. I really wasn't to concerned. Hope you feel a bit more at ease.
