Sushi?

I am just curious if anyone is able to eat sushi with the band? I keep reading the sticky rice is a problem for bandsters. Sushi is my favorite but I would gladly give it up for a healthy life.

Hi,

Sushi has not been a problem for me. You just have to chew up really well. That is the hard part. I could eat an In N Out double double in about 5 bites before. Now a single cheeseburger takes more than 10 minutes to eat. Sushi has been the same way. If my head works I chew until things are pretty much liquid before swallowing. If I forget there's always PB to remind me.

I can eat 2 or 3 pieces fine.

I love sashimi too but they usually serve it over a little ball of rice. I will have to ask them to leave the rice out.

Until you feel restriction, you can eat most foods including rice.

I can still do sushi. I stick to the rolls and sashimi
