Just a little update, banded on 12/11/09 and feeling really good after a week 1/2. I've lost 8 lbs since the surgery but now that it's a fewdays before Christmas finding very hard to be on the Liquid Diet, just trying to stay strong so not to mess up my band. Can anyone tellme how long it usually takes for the glue to be totally gone?

The glue will fall off on its own. Don't worry, just take your shower and be as normal as you can be. Before you know it, it will be gone and you'll be all healed up.

Congrats on the weight loss. That is awesome. I am finding it tough these past couple of days too. Hang in there. The holidays will be over before we know it. I can't wait for my glue to fall off too.

I can't remember how long it took to get the glue off - 2 weeks maybe? But just wanted to say keep up the great work!

Some surgeons use glue to close the incisions. Dr Ortiz does. I know my incision scars are small and not that noticeable, and it was nice that there were no stitches.
