marcybee
Hi Everyone! I was banded on Dec 1, 2009, and so far have lost 15 lbs. I weighed myself the last few days and have gone up a couple of pounds! I have not had my first fill yet. I feel like I am hardly eating anything at all compared to what I used to eat. Is this what is described as "bandster hell"? I am stressed about the weight gain!! Please help a stressed out newbie!! Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Lindsay
I know I gained most of my pre-surgery weight back, after getting the band. You can't drastically restrict calories, and then go back to eating 'normally' without the consequences. My advise would to start your awareness of what you're eating now. Once you start getting those fills, and you start feeling restriction, you won't be able to eat what you're eating now. My 'never again' foods include: -hamburgers -potatoes -anything really starchy, such a sushi But don't sweat it. I know a lot of us gained the pre-surgery weight back, esp if you only had to loose 5-8lbs to reach your 'goal' like myself. I didn't have a lot of lose, and of course, it was easy to gain back. tootsie_lou
I agree, try not to worry about it--just stick to your lapband rules. Congratulations on your weight loss so far!

Red
Thanks you for taking the time to reply! I feel much better now knowing that I am not alone! I can't wait for my first fill!! Marcy Not to worry Marcy! You will do fine. Things really change when you get restriction. Before my second fill, I could eat anything. Now I definitly can't (although I admit I CAN eat potato chips and I love them..naughty me). I like what Dr. So said to me. "Don't be a slave to the scale, go by how your clothes fit". I have taken that advice. I only weigh every couple of weeks or so. I don't lose quickly, but I'm losing..so that's fine with me. Hang in there!
