I've been MIA for a while. :) I have been doing well, but kind of slacked off the 2nd part of 2009. I got a Wii and a Wii fit for Christmas and boy, oh boy, has it kicked me back in gear. I am working out in the gym in the morning and then doing 1 1/2 hours of Wii fit at night. I have lost almost 9 lbs in 2 weeks. Yeah, me!!! I am finally in the 170's after being in the 180's since July! I weighed in at 176 this morning. I love this new tool and really look forward to my 'games' in the evening.

Anyways, I thought I would drop in and say hello. There are a lot of new people on the forum who are getting some great success; kudos to you! :)

I am hoping to hit my 100 lbs lost by mid February...Remember we can all do this!

I missed you guys too. :)

I am so in love with my wii fit. It isn't even like exercise. I really like the way exercise makes me feel I just have a hard time motivating myself. I wonder why? Anyway, the Fit is really awesome but I need a harder game. I am getting ready to run to Target to get the EA Active for the Wii. I love the step aerobics on the wii fit and am hoping they have a longer version on the Ea Sports Active. I'll let ya'll know. If nothing else, it keeps me off of the couch. Now... If I could just motivate myself to clean the house. lol.

Talk to you later!

My daughter was just doing hers tonight--it was fun to watch her. And it seemed easy enough to follow with the prompts they give you. There was one where she was going on a "basic run" with a Wii fit running guide, and when she got too far ahead of the guide, her "Mii" character tripped and fell (well, more like end-over-end forward roll) on the TV screen--very funny. It was like she didn't realize how much she was exercising. Very cool!

I got both the original and new version of the EA Sports Active and it is amazing. Total body workout that is relatively fun. You don't need the balance board with it (though you can use it). I've been using it for a week and going to the gym to work on the elliptical and I can already see the difference in my legs :) I HIGHLY recommend to anyone ever above WiiFitPlus. The only thing is you might want a better resistance band eventually but they are cheap and easy to find.

I just went and bought the EA Sports Active last night. I definitely needed something a little more challenging than the Wii Fit and am looking forward to trying it. But, wow - what a great way to get us off of the couch and moving. I workout in the gym every morning, 5 days a week but I do this Wii stuff too which is above what I was doing. I think that made all the difference in the world.

I love the elliptical at the gym too and run every other day. I'm hoping some of the cardio on the new game are a little more advanced. Do you know if they have a more advanced Step? I already had better resistance bands and noticed that right away too. Luckily, the whole kit was on sale, at Walmart, for 49.00. Whoo hoo! :)

I sound like a fanatic, right? LOL.

P.S. I love my little Mii, she is so cute and it always makes me laugh when she jumps and yells, "Yes!". Very cute.
