Hi Debbie,

Thank you! The post op is going. I am a "bounce back " kinda gal so to speak. I have had surgeries and get over them really quick. This one I have had to learn to be patient and be careful with my self. The healing process just takes time, it took me almost a full two weeks before I could sleep back in my bed. Everytime I would try to lay flat, the pull was just to much, no matter how I tried to position myself. As far as the look, it seem to change from day to day. There are some areas that I am concerned, (puffy spots) about but the Doc toldnme it takes time, everything will be fine. I go back tomorrow for my three week check up. Iam EXTREMELY happy with it....Now just ready to get where I can exercise and go back for a fill.... Are you getting excited?

Yes I am soooooooooooo excited. I booked my flight and hotel today. So 2 weeks before you could sleep on your bed. That is scarey because I will be staying in a hotel for a week before i return to Canada. Hope I will be able to sleep .

I am glad that you are happy with the results. I talked to Dr Nyte and he does not use pain pumps. He uses Tumescents when he does surgery. What that means is when he does the lipo he injects epinephrine and lidocaine so for the first few days while it is seaping out you are pretty much frozen. I like the idea of that :)

How many days were your drains in before they removed them? I can't fly home until they are gone so I am curious. Doctor said 5-7 days is normal. How long were yours in?

2 weeks out what would you say your pain is out of 10. Did you notice that the pain go a little less every day?

What laxative did you take to help with constipation while on the nargets? Okay thats enough questions for now.

I look forward to hearing from you

Debbie

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. We had a wonderful time. Hubby and I went to the Horseshoe Casino for dinner and some gaming. I played black jack and sat at a good table fill with good spirited peeps!

It was nice to have a date night....Seems after children those times are lessened, so it was nice for some ADULT time!

Dinner was good, but I am less enthused to go out to eat as I once was. That is one of the "things" that has changed with me since surgery. To funny! Anyway the dinner I ordered could have easily turned into 4 full dinners. Easy! How funny huh!

Anyway it was a hit in my book! Thanks!

Happy Birthday!! Belated but the sentiment remains the same. :D

I know what you mean about losing the enthusiasm. I was late for a Mary Kay party and my friend called and to tempt me said "I've got lots of good food here". I laughed because at one time that would have meant so much to me. When I got to the party I didn't even think to look at the food table. I was on liquids anyway because of my fill on Friday but I wasn't even hungry. This was my first party since my surgery and for the first time in ages I really enjoyed the people instead of being focused on what I was going to get to eat or what I was missing out on.

Happy Birthday Angie!

Debbie - My mom SWEARS by Miralax! She used it when she had her TT & hernia repair and is very much a believer! I've seen it at Costco if you are near one. I've had it and it's tasteless and you can add it to any drink.

Thanks I have added it to my list

Thanks Shelby - I did have fun. I loved playing black jack and we had such a great table of players. (that makes it so much better) I ended up donating to the cause but it was good entertainment!

Debbie,

I would say as far as the hotel, make sure they give you LOTS of pillows. I really had an issue with the bed! As far as the drain tubes, my Doc does not use them. He thinks there is a greater risk of infection with them, sooooo I was drain free! As for as the laxatives, I just used a mild womans cheepo laxtive pill and please use them!! I went to the Doc on Tuesday, everything is going pretty good. Go back in 3 months!

Hi Debbie!

I was SOO sick from anthesia, I always get this way, no matter how much they give me to try to prevent it, it just dont happened. So glad I got a complete unfill. I was sick waking up out of surgery, a little over 6 hours, and I dont really remember the drive home, I slept. As soon as I got out of the car, I got sick all the way into the house. That night eveytime I moved my head I got sick. I did have a presciption for phenergan which I only had to take that night.

Honestly I felt ok the next day after I got home. Got home on Tuesday evening and Sunday monring I was going crazy to get out of the recliner. I put on a pair of loose jeans and told hubby I wanted to go eat breakfast and go do our shopping. (EVERY Sun morning, we go to church, to Ihop for breakfast and then to Wally World and Sams). We that was not the brightest Idea I have had..lol. I had to be really careful sitting down and pulling myself out of the car. Hubby did help, could not reach to pull the door close. Sitting in I-Hop was not too bad, got a booth so I could sit alittle different, coming out was ok until I stepped off the curb, did not realize how much you leg streatches out to step down......Wal-Mart was ok, just walked really really slow..lol...Sams I was ready to GO home! I started having a really bad burn feeling everytime I took a step, as a matter of fact hubby went and got the car and helped me out of Sams into the car...BAD IDEA! I "felt" better but I was no where near ready for all of that.

I am 3 weeks and two days post and I still can not sleep through the night and most mornings when hubby leaves around 430, I come and get in my recliner. It still feels really really tight when my legs layed all the way straight in the bed. My boobies are driving me crazy!!!!! The are still itching and are VERY sore every night and morning. Not sure why, unless I am just so busy durning that I dont really notice??? When I sit up from laying in the bed, I can feel the implant move.

Right now I am going through this healing process and my belly button is taking the longest! I sit pretty much all day at work and for three weeks I have worn a binder. (life saver!, feels like my insides were going to fall out without it). Well It caused me to get a fungus in my belly button from sitting, not letting it having air so to speak. So I am treating that. My boobies are healing really great still have some scabs, but most ALL are gone. I have a place on my right side that is very very smooth and you really have to look for the scar WWoooo Hooo, that is a good sign! I am using a scar cream now called Mediderm, it is around $25 a tube, small tube, but goes a long ways.

I dont have any regrets at all, the healing process is just alot. Like I said I have never really had pain, just pull burning feeling, but I just want want everything heal and me be on my little way and this one, it is not happening, AT ALL!

You also have to remember I was cut hip to hip, and then straight up for my Ext TT. The for my boobie lift, I was cut under my boobies, up the middle of my boobies and then my nipples but back on...Soooo as far as laying in the bed, I think alot of mine had to do with the cut that when straight up....

I hope I have answered everything, if you have any more questions, please let me know! I hope all goes GREAT for you!

Thanks so much Carrie. That was very helpful and informative to read. I hate laying around so it was good to know that I am going to have to make myself slow down or it will be a problem for me. Once again thanks I really appreciate the details. Where did you buy that cream? I live in Canada so not sure if I can get it up here.
