EGD - 2 years post-op

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have been banded for 2 years now and have been pretty successful. I would still like to lose 20 lbs but I am happy where I am.....anyway.....It seems like I remember a recommendation about getting an EGD done every 2 years post-op. Has anyone heard this?

I have been having a lot of reflux in the last several months. I called OCC and they said my band is too tight to loosen it (which I have not done yet) but I do not feel the restriction like I used to. I do get full very fast (as I always have) but I can feel the food slip through my band after just a couple of minutes. Anyway, I have an appt scheduled with a gastroenterologist in a couple of weeks to talk about an EGD but was just wondering if there was anyone else out there that has had it done.....or is experiencing the reflux and what you did to get it to stop...Thanks
