Lucerna or Marriott

I was originally booked at the Marriott, but OCC had changed the reservation due to construction over to the Lucerna. So, obviously, I have been sort of planning on the Lucerna. Now I have been told they have moved me back to the Marriott.

So I ask those that have been: which is better and why?

Well it does not sound like you have a choice, but I stayed at the Mariott and wish I had stayed at Lucerna. Marriott was too cookie cutter with no character and the beds were hard. Another girl stayed at Lucerna and posted pictures and it looked 100 times better with more of a posh, upscale atmosphere. Needless to say, if I go back, I will not be staying at the Marriott.

I stayed at the Lucerna (just left the 17th). It was great. The staff were awesome. The massage therapist was awesome. It was very clean and had a beautiful pool. I stayed on the side that overlooked the pool on the 3rd floor. I had a king size bed. It was great! I was going to stay at the marriot and after I asked the same question you did I switched to the Lucerna.

I've stayed at the Lucerna twice and the Mariott once. The Lucerna is far better--nicer rooms, better staff, better restaurant, and you can actually get in a good walk around the outside of the hotel.

I have also stayed at the Lucerna twice and have no complaints.
