DebbieB Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 awesome experience! i don't even know what to say. the OCC is the best. No pain, no issues. I feel great! Great for you! I was just there last week for my lap band and it was such an easy experience, they were great and I didn't even feel like I'd had a surgery! Congratulations on your surgery!!
Apprehensive Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Congrats!!! Now you can share your experiences with all of the people on this site. Most of the people on this site really do go out of their way to offer positive suggestions and ideas to help overcome some roadblocks along the way. If you are anything like me, I just wish I had have done this long before I did. Again...Congrats! Best of Luck!

ripcityrenegade Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Welcome to bandland. I had my surgery 4/19 and it was probably the most stress free surgery I've ever had. I don't think I have ever been so pumped about something. Good luck to you and again welcome to bandland. TC
macleay Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 OCC is just the best, aren't they? I felt the same way you did. I've had a few surgeries before this one, so I had something to compare, and OCC wins hands down.

I'm one week out as of today and already down 9 lbs from my OCC weight. I'm so excited!
btradio Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 just curious, was your OCC weight the same as what you were weighing at home? Just curious how close their scales are to what we might have. (I wonder because Dr. Miranda gave me a target weight and I am super close per my scale, but will be horrified if I get there and find out my scale is wonky. That being said, per my scale I have dropped almost 32lbs pre-op, so there's that.)

macleay Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Jill, Where are you getting your fulls done? Thanks so much Sherri Sherri, I got my first fill done at the OCC and it was 2.5 ccs. I would have liked to go to them for all my fills, but I couldn't afford the time or money. I go to a doctor who is about an hour south of me, Dr. Kelly Fitzpatrick. She does not use fluoroscopy, but is very experienced and I have no complaints (other than it's taken me 5 fills to get any semblance of restriction! ) Not Dr. Fitzpatrick's fault--I just can't seem to handle large amounts of saline at a time.
Kristi Posted May 4, 2010 Report Posted May 4, 2010 Congrats on being banded! Keep us up on how your progress is going.
