Help I have two more days until I can eat solids. The last two days I have been hungry with yesterday being the worst. I know that I should feel hungry sometimes, but it has always been manageable with some water or gatorade. Lately though I'm like starving hungry 5 minutes after I eat. I have come so far and do not want to cheat. I told myself that I wouldn't and have not, but I have not felt like this since I was banded. I don't know where all that energy went. Any suggestions?

I don't have any suggestions but just wanted to commiserate with you. The last week was the hardest and the last few days were terrible. For me, it wasn't that I was hungry, I was just READY to eat something ! lol Hang in there, it's almost over. Just look at what you've accomplished in the last 5 weeks! How much have you lost?

Thanx for the encouraging words Mac. I have lost 50lbs since starting the pre-op diet at 353lbs and I now weigh 304lbs. TC RCR

Wow--50 pounds! That's AWESOME! Congratulations.

are you eating those fiber wafers, you can have three or four perday.. Fills you up...how about cream of chicken soup, make it a bit thicker so that it stays in your tummy a bit longer to send the signal to your brain that you are not hungry...Not that I think this is good, but I used appetite suppressants in the late stage of my liquid portion, that helped a bit to keep the killer hunger pains physical and mental at bay!!!! but yes call OCC and see if you can start some sort of solid!!!!

The last few days were the worst for me it was all mental because you know food is soon coming! It was funny though when I finally could eat I was scared to! But everything goes down just fine I had some pasta first to test the waters and all was good.

You can do it!!! From the looks of it you can eat tomorrow? Sooo close just keep yourself busy doing other stuff and make the day go by quickly. You have done great keep it up!!!
