karenci
I was banded at OCC on 3/18/10. I am one of those who felt very little restriction after surgery, can eat anything - bread, rice, you name it - and about as much as I want as long as I take small bites and chew thoroughly. I couldn't wait for my first fill, hoping to finally feel restriction. . . went back to OCC on 5/1 and Dr. So put 3.0 cc in my 10cc band. He advised most folks take 2-3 fills and usually up to 8.5 cc. He also suggested I wait 2 months for my second fill - but I am still not feeling restriction and I would like to get my second fill mid-June, if that can be done - I am trying to be good, but the weight loss has come to a halt aling with the re-introduction of real food and I'm getting discouraged! Can I get my 2nd fill 6 weeks after the first?
AngieB
Yes, you can go in now for your next fill if you want. Call when you are ready. I waited a month between fills, but that is the policy of the Dr I go to, so I waited.

Lindsay
I had the time frame of 6-8 weeks between each fill, and that's what I stuck with.
AshleyMarie
I have only had the recommended 3 fills. I waited until 7 weeks after surgery, had my second 7 weeks after that and then waited 8 months. I am not at goal, but do not plan to get a 4th fill. I do not want to have to depend on fills forever and feel I need to train myself to do the rest on my own.
