Cowgirl
Besides the cost of the surgery package, what else do I need to save for? I know I'll need airline tickets, but about how much extra should I save up? If you don't mind, could you break down the cost for the actual surgery and the costs afterwards? Anything helps! I just don't want to get stuck with a lack of cash.
ripcityrenegade
Hi cowgirl, We are not suppose to talk about price in here. Have you called OCC and been given a quote? What they tell you is what you pay. Keep in mind fills and whether your going to go back to OCC or to another provider. There is a price quote for fills from Lori in Fills and Fill trips. I hope this helps. TC RCR
EcMjawad1
Hello, Well I guess it depends on what you plan on doing while in TJ. Some of us on the forum went shopping. Others, like myself stayed in the hotel. The OCC special "food" post op at the hotel is part of you package. So you can plan accordingly. I brought along some extra cash just in case but did not use too much of it since I didn't feel much like shopping.
Lindsay
Besides the cost of the surgery package, what else do I need to save for? I just don't want to get stuck with a lack of cash. You'll also need to figure out WHERE you'll be getting your fills down. This is often an extra expense that people don't calculate, and then they're stuck for $$ when it comes to fill time. Not the best route to go, IMHO! I know for my fills, done here locally, I pay out of pocket (fills are 99.9% NOT covered by insurance plans, so you'll be paying OOP too) $150/fill. I've had (i think?!) 6 fills. As for while BEING in Tijuana, hotel is covered. And I think my room service bill came to $50, if even. It's very cheap (compared to the hotels I've stayed at!) - Shopping is crappy, so I wouldn't even bother while you're there. You'll also be eating well, so you should calculate the cost of 'real' food vs fast food, or take out. That can really make or break the band. The same with exercise. Those who exercise very regularly are far more successful, so investing in a monthly gym membership would be a great thing to consider now. Cowgirl
Thank you for the information. I have officially chosen Dr. Ortiz! I really like what I have heard. And, sorry, didn't know we couldn't discuss costs. I called Carolyn today and talked with her about that, and she answered all of my questions. I also found someone nearby to do my fills. And so begins my journey!
