ajb1111
I was banded on June 30,2010. I have been doing fine but today my big incision in tender to the touch. I was wondering if this is normal or if anyone has experienced it. I am kind of worried something might be wrong since hadn't really been sore since first couple days. I have not added the yogurt to the liquid part yet in fear that maybe my body isn't ready yet with this tenderness showing up. Any comments or ideas are greatly appreciated. Other then this I have really been happy with my decision and all going great. My pre-op diet start weight was 290 and I am at 259 today....... I hope someone has some good advice out there.....Have a grat day!! :-) Angie-IL

Sounds like you are doing great!

Lindsay
..yesterday my port incision was tender. Every so often, when I'm not feeling well, it gets tender! so won't worry about it. you're still very new!
damalove
Hi Ajb. As was mentioned, the big (port) incision will be stubbornly sore...for a while. If i wear high-waisted slacks, and slouch at my desk, it hurts, and Im 3 mo out. It will get better though. One thing to keep an eye out for is infection; its normal that your port be sore, tender, etc. But if it feels warm to the touch, hot in fact, and the surrounding area is excessively red, could signal infection. dont mean to scare you as this is very rare, just thought id mention. Sounds like youre doin just fine though.
