I think this is a moderated group so you would have to ask the moderator. I don't see them anymore either... Very Strange....

It might be a good idea to re post the info so others can make sure to not leave money or valuables in the hotel rooms..( Just as a reminder to those who are about to travel) We don't want to freak anyone out but that is something we need to be careful of.. Did they ever find out who stole it?

I wonder if it would be safer to take all our money and valuables to the OCC during our surgeries or fills and never leave them alone. I am not wearing my wedding ring or necklace either in Mexico.

When we adopted our daughter from the Ukraine we were told to use a money pack that went under our clothes and keep our money hid all the time... That might be a good idea for Mexico too.. I am going to use my credit card at the Hotel. If people bring the Cashiers Check for payment for the fills instead of the cash will not have to travel with much money.

I will be staying at the Marriott this weekend and I was very glad you posted the info about the money being taken from the safe.

We will are planning on taking our lap top to the OCC during our fills on Saturday too.

I spent FOREVER typing all the info and posting the orginal messages, I think they don't want anyone to know because they know what happened and were unable to get the hotel to do anything ((money was stolen right out of hotel safe, hotel lied about filing a police report, and my coordinatoor and the lcinic were notifired immediately) When you do a yahoo search my thread comes up "robbed at the marriott" but when you click on it it says you don't have permisson to view this thread because theyve deleted it, it's no longer in my recent posts either.

I do not think they are going to allow me to repost, so just be very careful if you assume marriotts "safe" is the best place to leave your money, it was an expensive lesson for us hopefully no one else has to learn it.

Its not deleted, it is just invisible for now because the Marriott wants to post a rebuttle with times, details and their findings, I thought it best to post them both at the same time so its fair to both parties. Two very different stories.

Very understandable. I didn't use the safe, we kept my money in my purse and with us at all times. I don't know it that was the safest option...But I'm very interested to read the rebuttal.

Great by me, I have copies of all communication which I posted intially, interesting that they changed their story, then just went quiet on me. I was told by a friend that in HIS opinion it sounds like a fleecing they have it set up perfectly. (Not the OCC, the Mrarriott just to clarify) Anyhow I welcome their reply I simply don't see how they are going to explain the fact that they lied....but I'll be waiting nonetheless
