Auggie Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 What size bougie does OCC generally use when performing the sleeve surgery? Is this something that is patient specific or is there a general guideline that is followed?
LoriBecky Posted August 23, 2012 Report Posted August 23, 2012 Hi Auggie, OCC uses a 32 bougie for patients. This is considered the "gold standard" bougie size and most commonly used. Here is a picture so you can get an idea of the size If you have any questions you can reach me at lori@obesitycontrolcenter.com or 1-866-376-7849 ext. 81
Auggie Posted August 24, 2012 Author Report Posted August 24, 2012 Hi Lori, Thanks for the picture, it really helps me visualize my sleeve size.
newme9 Posted March 20, 2013 Report Posted March 20, 2013 What exactly is this used for? Also, what is the purpose and function of the drain?
