jelly
I went in to the hosp. at 8am had the surgery at 10:30 am and was discharged by 3pm the same day. It was amazing and my surgeon Dr. Tull was wonderful!!! I can't wait for my first fill on Jan 15th due to I still get hungry but am learning to drink more and don't drink for an hour after I have eaten. There really is not alot of support groups near me so I am basically on my own. But I have a 8yr old and a 2yr that I want to keep up with and my 8yr old is a "skinny minnie" ha ha ha , hope she stays that way too! The liquid diet for 2wks before surgery was hard but after surgery it was not too bad. I am now on soft foods and doin great! Best wishes to all who have the lap band! I'm thrilled you are doing so well. It is such a positive experience, even with the rough spots. I went to lunch with a friend of mine today. It's the first time I have gone to lunch with anyone. I ordered soup and she ordered real food and you know what? It didn't even bother me. She was going to order soup so I didn't feel weird but I told her the truth, I'd feel weird if she did that. She ordered what she wanted and I was totally fine with it. It didn't bother me in the least. Even though it has nothing to do with weight, I still consider that a NSV!
