gail19
Hi Everyone....I had my first fill today with a local Doctor. She was great! I got a total of 3cc's. I went in early for a fill (4 1/2 weeks post-op) because I felt no restriction and had only lost 7 pounds. Anyway--she discovered that my port is flipped backwards, however after some manipulation she was able to get me on the first stick. My question is...How common is this, and does anyone know what causes this to happen? She said it's possible I may have to get this fixed in the future if fills become a problem. Any thoughts...Gail
Lioness81970
Hi Gail - I had a flipped port. I had it repaired right in day surgery. It wasn't a big thing. They just numbed the area up and repositioned it. I was awake for the whole procedure and the only thing I felt was a little tugging. It didn't hurt at all and I was fine even after the numbing meds wore off.
