Which Physician

Hi everyone - I am a Newbie. I have been looking into Lap Band Surgery and am just at the beginning. I am happy to have found this forum. I noticed that some of the posters were mentioning Dr. Ortiz. That made me curious. I have only heard of Dr. Kuri in TJ...are there more? Can you give me your experience with your physician? Is there a way to get a comprehensive list with credentials. I guess I am a little cautious thinking that I will have to go to TJ for surgery.

Dr. Ortiz is the BEST! Do your research and you will find that out for yourself. Call Lori Becky as well, she has always been very helpful. Look her up on these boards. Good Luck with whomever you choose. Teri

I have to say I've been very impressed by the comments made about Dr. Ortiz on this board and another. If I go to TJ for 2-3 fills, I'll be paying close to what I could get the surgery for locally. But Dr. Ortiz just seems like a better doctor, not just a less expensive one
