Do you think i have been filled enough, and how do you know when to go for another fill.

How do i know if this thing is gonna work for me.#

G-Girl,

RESTRICTION. That is the word that makes the whole surgery worthwhile. It is the answer to your two questions. When you feel it you will know if you will need another fill or not. How did it feel when the sandwich went down? Was it slow going and did you feel fullness at all? or did it slip down your throat with no liquids? If it went slow and you felt some fullness that is restriction in action if it slipped down then you may not have enough restriction but that is for you and the Dr. to talk about.

If you are starving you need nutrition. Follow Dr. Miranda

Ditto on the nutrition. I was eating hardly anything when I had too much fill and I know my body was starving.

This is what I learned from my new fill doctor in WA:

Women need 45-60 grams of protein a day, Men need 60-100

Both need 64-100 oz of water a day

I am using fitday.com to track every single thing I eat. Sounds neurotic, but since "my emergency" and my new and improved fill, I'm really determined.

I have not lost much weight as per the scale, but my clothes are getting better so I must be shrinking. If you're like me, you'll stay off the scale and "listen to the denim". When your tight pants fit...you have a good fill.

Hang in there. The band is a mysterious thing. Wonderful, but ever changing.

Fills can take up to two weeks to kick in - be careful and give it some time. Also be careful of stuffing yourself jus to test the fill as you can expand your pouch / cause damage to the band by overeating. Being 'full' with the band is a whole new sensation - not stuffed to the gills as most of us tended to do before banding. It also takes about 20 minutes to feel your level of fullness so it is very easy to overeate and then be sorry. I wouldn't rush back to get a fill - i would wait a bit and see how things settle.
