NoWorry
After navigating a number of forums and posts, I came up with the following shopping list. Not every item is for everyone and since I haven't yet had my surgery, I don't know if I've missed anything. Feel free to add suggestions. Bamaslady
This is a great list. I wish I would have had it before my surgery. I had my surgery on Tuesday, May 22nd. I guess that makes me 4 days post-op. I am having trouble distinguishing the head hungers from the real hungers. When my stomach is growling and I feel like I am starving...does this mean that I am really hungry? This hunger is my biggest surprise. I thought that my band would magically make my hunger disappear. I was wrong. Now I understand that the clear liquids that I am on for the first ten days do not stay in my pouch long enough for me to feel hungry. I am hoping that when I get to the thicker liquids and mushies that I will not feel so hungry. Any advice out there to help me feel less starved...please help! FurEllie
NoWorry - I see Jello there - Dr. Miranda was telling us in March NO JELLO. Is she still saying that or is she allowing it now? I also stocked up on bandages and such - didn't need them. I think with Dr. Ortiz just using the surgical tape they're probably not needed by his patients. Also an addition for the female patients - if you normally wear an unwire bra, get one w/o underwire. Most underwires will hit RIGHT at one of the incision points. Yeah, I was all flappy and not very well shaped in my Fruit of the Loom sports bra from Walmart, but I figured I was wearing a loose T-shirt and baggy sweatpants so I was already missing the Ms. America audition

NoWorry
NoWorry - I see Jello there - Dr. Miranda was telling us in March NO JELLO. Is she still saying that or is she allowing it now? The list was compiled from a number of different forums. I have two lists from OCC. One lists Jello, the other does not. I've been having a 1/2 cup serving of Jello every couple of days and it hasn't caused any problems.

IF I REMEMBER RIGHT, I COULD BE WRONG BUT THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE PRE MADE UP JELLO IN THE REFRIGERATOR SECTION. IT'S THICKER THEN HOMEMADE?
