titancupcake
I haven't lost the required weight by Dr. Miranda. I was supposed to lose 13 lbs, but have only lost 4 lbs. Will my surgery be postponed on Monday? She called me today and lectured me for sure. But, I've been sick, and it was the only thing I've been focused on...trying to get well. Thanks for any input. I am in a similar situation. I haven't lost the required preopt weight and my surgery is scheduled for 6/14. Did they postpone your surgery? Did they postpone your surgery? Hi syndee, I was told by Dr. Miranda to lose as close to 36lbs as possible by surgery and I lost 23lbs. She was so happy that I thought she was going to do a little dance...lol I have heard of people needing to lose like 15 or more pounds and only lost a few and it was ok, but seriously try very hard to stick to the pre-op diet and be strict with yourself as much as possible to lose what you can. I think this is to show you can follow the post-op diet and so on. Good luck enjoy your experience. It will all be worth it later. Peace, Judy

Dr. Miranda wanted me to lose 7 lbs, but I've only lost 4 lbs. When I told her this she stated that my surgery might be rescheduled. I was freaking out, now I feel better. titancupcake
Thanks Judy - You put my mind at ease. Dr. Miranda wanted me to lose 7 lbs, but I've only lost 4 lbs. When I told her this she stated that my surgery might be rescheduled. I was freaking out, now I feel better. I ended up losing 6 out of 13lbs needed preop according to their scale. She gave me a lecture. But the surgery proceeded. Dr. Ortiz didn't say anything to me when he met me preop. Do the best you can.
