dactyl
I am sorta taking a poll on everyone's favorite protein drinks. Which brand and flavor were your favorites? I am trying to gather some info so I don't get stuck with $50 of shakes I can't drink. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
katjab
The pre-op shakes were SLim-Fast were doctors orders and post-op they have way to much sugar. With the 2 vitamins daily of Flintstones, doctor says there is no need for additional protein supplement.
dreamhappy07
Hi, I thought I would put in my fave protein shake drink. They are Muscle Milk chocolate and I sooo missed them during my clear liquid phase after surgery. Can you get addicted to something like that? LOL I love them sooo much. They only have 5g of low glycemic sugar, which means they won't elevate your blood sugar if you are diabetic. Also, just one 11oz. carton has 22g of protein. I get them in the 18 pack at Costco for $24.00. If you get them at GNC, they have alot more flavors, but for a 4-pack cost $11.00. GULP! You can also get them in powdered form, but I haven't had luck with that. Probably a cheaper way to go though. Hope this helps you. Peace, Judy

I have heard that muscle milk is tasty,I work with a girl that drinks them all the time. I guess that is why she is 110 lbs LOL Terri
tombourn
Pre-op these may not be good as you are trying to lose weight. But post -op when calorie intake is needed. 1/2 slimfast High protien chocolate, 1/2 cup crushed ice, 1 gallop( tbs) peanutbutter and 1/2 frozen banana... you can even add more protien if you want and they still taste great. Also while down in Mexico you can find Banana/Yogurt flavored bran ( Kellog's makes it but not for the States) that is really good to mix in protien shakes to up the grit.
