I would like to hear from you. It seems that they are eroding within a year. It would help to hear from some people that have had them for 5 years or more. I thought they have been banding people in Mexico for longer than USA. So where are You. Please Write about your experiences! Thanks. Lou Ann (worrie wort)
Shell Posted December 6, 2005 Report Posted December 6, 2005 I had mine for almost 20 months and had great success..I lost 104 lbs with my band but I eroded and had it removed.
kay griffin Posted December 8, 2005 Report Posted December 8, 2005 Dr. Martinous told me personally that eroding happens in .5% of their patients and it usually is because the body decides the band is a foreign material and our body rejects it. Does that make sense? I too would be interested if this really happens more often than they claim.
