I can't say that I have; I am scheduled with Dr. Ortiz for this coming Wednesday. Have you, perchance, discovered LapBandTalk.com yet? They have several threads there with patients of Dr. Acevez. If I recall, he gets rave reviews:

Hello. I used Dr. Aceves. He is a great Dr. The hospital room was a little more warm than I am used to but they switched me to another room and it was better...still not cool though. If you are hot-blooded like me, you might want to request a fan as soon as you get there. The hospital room was nicer than the hotel room though. Both were adequate. Are you from NC? I am from Hickory, NC. The trip back from San Diego on my second day after my band surgery was a little soon for me. It was a very cramped flight and I was very sore so it wasn't real pleasant. Also, I was absolutely starving. The jello and broth passed directly through my band and left my stomach rumbling like crazy. Also, broth and jello aren't readily available in the airport so you may need to take something with you. I will be happy to answer any of your questions...just let me know.

Yes I did use Dr Acevez, Me and my friend and her daughter all went together. We were treated very well. They spoke fluent english and a very clean well organized hospital. I would highly recommend him and his staff. =D>

Hey Elizabeth I am flying in on saturday to get my fill with dr acevez. When do you fly home. We will be getting our fill and going back to san diego the same day.
