Recommended Posts

Hello every I got my surgery Nov 19 and I have a few problems. One is the Hunger Pain I get. The pain runs up my chest and in my back. I notice that if I drink something or have something soft like we are told too I feel a little better but after a short time I get really hungry again and the pain starts again. Is this Normal? Please Help me...

I had the same thing happen to me. I went back to the doctor after a week on liquids, begging to eat. He let me graduate to the soft foods stage. I lost 13 pounds the first week. I have only been filled one time, and I have lost 30 pounds in 3 months. I eat only chicken, and about half of what I use too. I now need my gallbladder out which appears to happen to alot of patients.

I have protein Shakes, Water, Clear jucie like Apple and white grape. I have the Special K protein Water and CHk broth. Why?

Because anything with a lot of sugar will give you hunger pangs. That would include juice and some protein drinks, unless you check the label and buy low carb protein shakes. Sugar makes you hungry because it makes your blood sugar levels go up and down wildly. Stay away from sugar and you won't feel the hunger pains nearly as badly.
