GaGirl77 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 I was wondering something the other day. My trainer at work has us use the stability ball A LOT. We do alot of prone work with our tummies down. I was wondering if that kind of work was going to hurt where the port is. When you lay flat on your stomach on a semi-hard surface, does it hurt?
nicolek Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Remember you can't do ab work for 12weeks. I know I can't lean against work surfaces so good question. Nicolek
GaGirl77 Posted April 3, 2008 Author Report Posted April 3, 2008 I know. That part panics me. I can't imagine stopping abs for 12 WEEKS!!! A lot of our training - Pilates, step-sculpt and turbo-kickboxing incorporates abs of some sort. I'm gonna be mush after 12 weeks.
Clynn Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 After you get past the 12 week period you don't have to worry about your port getting in the way. I've done yoga, roller coasters, swimming, etc and have never thought to myself, "I don't think I can do this because of my port/band" unless I was using that as an excuse for something I didn't want to do anyway. It's an automatic get out of jail free card when you are among the non-banded..
