Thanks all cookinjill HI Cookinjill; I am having my surgery on June 9th....although I havent had my surgery...I was wondering if that shoulder pain could be the pain that alot of our fellow bandsters talk of in regards to the gas build up after surgery....I have had a couple of people tell me that and to take the Gas-X strips and some say the Gas-X chewables...I guess everyone is different....it might be worth a try....just a suggestion...I wish u the best of luck and feel better soon.....Cathy )
Kris_TX
Walk, walk, and then walk some more. Left shoulder pain is gas build up and walking a lot will help. I didn't get the shoulder pain, but I walked tons after the surgery....

Sylvia Hey this is Christine. I also had my surgery on the 25th I feel awsome and have not had any gas or sholder pain. I am sorry your sholder is hurting. Walking a lot has made this all so easy and also makes it easier to sleep at night. C
Guest marys
i had gas pains for months after surgery and while gasx helped -the best remedy was having my boyfriend rock/rub my back and shoulder - i would just burp and burp and pass gass the whole time he was doing it and that felt great. It got better each day but it was pretty regular for a long time - not pleasent but it eventually passes.b
Scuba Lisa
I had the same problem, actually it made me cry it hurt so much. It was gas but also constipation. I cured mine with Milk of Magnesia (1 tbsp.) and it took a few hours, but once I got "cleaned out", I'm fine. I just have to watch when I start to feel "plugged up" and really gassy. I live in Mexico so couldn't fined gas-x strips, will buy some in July. Hang in there, "This too shall pass!" Lisa
