Susy
Hello ladies my name is Susy and I was banded in Tijuana by Dr. Ortiz on Monday the 7th. I was just wondering how everybody that got banded that day is doing, I think there was nine of us? I am doing ok, but I have a constant feeling of having to burp but can't and the gas strips aren't helping . Other than that I am doing good. Will T
I'm a Tuesday bandster, but I'm not a lady : ) I'm doing great. I've taken a few tums since I've been home, and that seems to control my need to power-burp. I've started soft soups and that has helped. Another trick I tried was to burp myself BEFORE the pressure backed up. I know, it's a guy thing, but it made me have very little issues. I hope your journey has been a positive one so far... what issues have you faced?
lynna
Hello Susy! This is Lynn...I am doing good! I had a bowel problem the last couple of days, but today feel good with just a little bit of port site pain. I even went out and water my flowers, worked in my veggie/herb patch today. Keep in touch. Will T
Hi Lynn! I too am feeling a bit of port pain, particularly when i lean to the side, such as drying my left leg after a shower. It's a sharp pain that is quite noticeable. The incisions are itching a little bit, too. Has anyone's glue started to dissolve yet?
calicat
Hi Susy! I was banded 4/4 - and boy did I feel like you're describing. I did a couple things that helped. 1. Chewed on one TUMS - give it a little bit to help. 2. Got in the 90 degree position over a chair - my husband and son would giggle when I was in "position". It did help alot though. 3. It's not comfortable, but I would sleep for the first couple hours in the a true upright position. I found my couch was best with my big king size pillows behind me. I would prop something under my knees - and within an hour or two - my pain was "relieved". Walking also helped, but not like I thought it would. I never burped, or anything else while walking - but rather, when I got home and relaxed. Weird but true. Good luck Suzy - it will go away soon!!!
