Mackenzie Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 Ive read a little bit about band slippage...i know that Dr. ortiz does a really good job putting the band in and stiches it well to try and prevent slippage..however is there anything that WE can do to prevent it? im a little parinoid! hahaha
MamaMichelle Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 According to Dr. Romero stopping when you're full and not drinking with meals are the most important rules to follow to prevent any band complications, either slippage or stretching of the pouch!
snowbird Posted April 20, 2008 Report Posted April 20, 2008 I have read that vomiting or excessive pbing is the main cause of slippage. So indirectly it would be due to not eating properly, since overeating/eating too fast/eating anti-band foods would cause the pbing.
