For those of you experienced bandsters or even those who like to exercise I am looking for new ways to motivate and keep me on my exercise routine. I have a wonderful friend who happens to be a personal trainer making workouts for me, another great friend who has agreed to do the work outs with me a couple of days, but I know for health and weight loss purposes that I need to exercise at least 5-6 days. I am wondering what thoughts, rewards, ideas that any of ya'll use to keep your exercising consistent and honest. HELP ME!! haha

It has been my experience that if you just make yourself do it for 21 days straight then it is a habit and something you miss instead of something that you have to find motivation for. Rewards are always a plus though!

Yes I have been thinking about rewards.....some examples or ideas would be great though!!!! I have heard that 21 days makes a habit so maybe that will help to see that goal and pass it. Thanks!

Exercising is awesome, once youve done it for a while! haha that is the problem! The only thing I can suggest is start off with 2 or 3 days a week that way you dont burn yourself out. Doing it with a friend is a good idea bc you can keep eachother motivated, just remember if you dont do it you are only hurting yourself- i struggle with this myself. The more that you lose the more motivated you get- before you know it we wont be able to get enough of the gym! for rewards, pick out a shirt that you really like and if you work out 4 days out of the week you can buy it do the same with a pedicure etc

:D If I had any suggestions that worked for this subject, I probably wouldn't be considering lapband :D

Seriously though, my hope is that I will remind myself regularly of the seriousness of lapbanding and try to take the best care I can. I'm really nervous that I won't be able to stop myself from the soft sweets!! Good luck!!
