The Redhead
Cinco de Mayo is just a few days away. Who is going to be in Mexico for the celebrations? I think I'll celebrate my 3 weeks post-op by celebrating Cinco de Mayo at home. Bring on the Margaritas... ...easy on the enchiladas... :girl_dance:

I am coming in on the 6th also. Are you coming with someone or alone? I will be alone. I will be arriving on Continental at 3:39 p.m. I am having the pre0ops and the surgery both on the 7th. Maybe we can meet up on the evening of the 6th if you do not have plans.

Everything seems to get stuck and believe me, that's NOT a good feeling. I'm hoping it gets a bit better as time does along. Although, ...sadly... food is losing some of its romance for me. ...wait... is that a good thing or a bad?
MamaMichelle
Although, ...sadly... food is losing some of its romance for me. ...wait... is that a good thing or a bad? ARE YOU KIDDING THAT IS THE BEST THING!! Food is meant to be fuel, so many of us have developed this love/obsession with food... Hell I used to plan my Saturday errands around where I wanted to eat lunch, such an unhealthy attitude to have!! The 3 week post op (and 2 week pre op) can be looked at as a 5 week detox from food, a time to get your head in the right place and learn that now you are a bandster food is going to have a much lower status in your life!!! 4mygirls
I totally agree with Michelle! I am just ready for some different types of foods. Soup is great....but ready for something else. I really hope that the solids get better for you Denise. The band isn't meant to hurt us, just keep us in check. I have only had real mushy food as of yet (cottage cheese mostly) but your experience makes me kind of scared to start solids again. I will let you know how is goes on Thursday when I have breakfast. Something other then EAS? Get outta town!! Thinking of you Denise! <' /> Brook

Nicki and I will be picked up at the airport for our fills at around 10:45. (She and I "met" here and are going to share the cost of the transportation.) My fill is at 3:00, and I don't know about Nicki, but I would love to meet you for supper. It sounds wonderful! I cannot wait to meet you! My email is paula_bee@comcast.net. MamaMichelle
Usually I would say just exchange cell phone numbers via PM but since most cell phones don't work well I would say if you want to be able to find each other at the hotel I would exchange first and last names via PM, then when you arrive you can ask the hotel operator to connect you to Jessica Smiths room then you can speak that way, or leave a voicemail with your room number on her hotel phone if she happens to be out of the room...
